Well, I added the yeasties last night. I added the whole pack (for 5 gallons) rather than 1/3. So far, it hasn't exploded. The Dandelion petals have floated up to the top, though. I took the container out and mixed it up a bit, but don't think much happened because of that. The headspace in the container was gone, but the goo hadn't started to spill over. The temperature also rose from a starting temp of about 60 to a whopping 65. I'm not sure what to do to keep the temperature down. Aaron says it's important in a mead. I just wonder if this one will be full of wild yeasties.
I hate mornings. Waking up at 6 am is weird. I kept having weird 'dreams' that I had to check on various fermenting containers. I also decided to take my final tonight rather than last night. I only "need" a 40 to get an A, but I have only read a few chapters (out of 5 full and 4 partial chapters covered in the test). I didn't want to make it a struggle to get a 40.
Because I'm volunteering later tonight, I will take the train today. It is also nice, since it'll rain allll day. So, I won't get drenched while biking.
