I ordered a cycle trainer so I can do more riding and stuff at home. I really don't like to ride around for pleasure near my house, and the bike paths are 5 miles away - and at the bottom of a big hill (which I dread coming back up on the way home). I havne't done any training in a while, and I haven't found myself out for pleasure rides in forever. I figure the cycle trainer will help get me back into gear. I ordered the Kinetic Road Fluid Bike Trainer. A few review sites gave it about 4.5/5 stars, and it was on sale for $229 (instead of $299). I elected for in-store pickup since I didn't want to pay the extra $15 in shipping, so it'll be ready on the 4th! I also got the computer that goes with it to track the wattage. Yes, I'm a dork. Now, I'm trying to think of a way to encorperate some reading while riding, so maybe a music stand (to hold books) is in order.
So, now I'm trying to figure out what I want to be. I got back my GRE results. I got the 560 verbal (76%), 700 Quantitative (72%) but only 4.5 on Analytical Writing (54%). I'm really bummed about that writing part. The others are fine, not spectacular. But, I just don't know. Why did I take it? Am I going through a midlife crisis? Is there any real reason for me to have taken it? Do I want to be a nurse? Maybe database and web design would be more interesting to me (if I could ever get anywhere with it, learning MySQL could be fun).
My cat needs to lose weight. She's fat. I leave food out for them to just eat when they want. I guess CC just wants it all the time. I fear the idea of having to feed them at regular feeding times.
I'm still not quite getting the "point" of MySpace and Facebook. I think I like LJ where everything I care about is on the "friends" page. Maybe the same is true for the others and people just don't update terribly often.
